I put two in a card to my mom and she laughed hysterically (she is 90!). She sent them to her sister who screamed and laughed on the phone when she opened the letter my mom sent her. I love the idea of these butterflies, especially to add to gift cards. They are bright and colorful and a lot of fun when they "fly" out of the card. They are fairly durable because the material is a very lightweight plastic, but can easily get bent by little hands.

I made a couple exploding boxes got birthday gifts for a couple granddaughters. They LOVED the surprise of the butterflies escaping from the box when the lid was lifted up! I also included one in a Valentine’s Day card for another granddaughter and it totally surprised her as it flew away when card was opened. Will buy again. One wing slid off its little arm as I wound it up, but I just added a tiny bit of glue and slid the wing back on and it was fine. Very fun!
