used this for 6 months it cuts out holes very easy but DON'T use the hammer feature, i don't care who makes the argument about "forged welds" or "arc welds" are super strong. nope nope nope the proof is before you; impact work will eventually snap a weld

After ussing this , I found it easy to use when drilling. When using the cutter to make the 1" dowel it cuts great, a little difficulty backing it off but it does the job very well. I noticed that other settlers wrench came a cover. Mine did not. UPDATE, This has been a very helpful tool while csmping. It helps make benches and small tables to use around the campfire.

EXCELLENT piece of kit!!! The cutter in the top handle hole cuts the diameter of branches, poles, and sticks down to where they fit perfectly into the holes created by the auger! You also use the hole in the top handle to cut handles diameters to fit through the top hole so you can use the auger!!! VERY intuitive and easy to use as well as high quality!!! This tool makes building shelters, tables, chairs, and ladders a lot easier and quicker!!! I don't go into the woods without it!!!!

Nice, heavy materials used for this tool are excellent. This tool is made for boring holes where they would otherwise be nearly impossible to make. Some reviewers have been hitting this tool with a hammer. I can’t see why anyone would want to hit this type of tool with a hammer, but I guess those folks have learned a lesson. The same goes for hammers; you just don’t hit two hammers together and expect anything good to come of it. This tool will be in my truck until I’m gone and my kids get to work with it.
